Muuuuuuuuuuuust get offfffffffffffff computer and dooooooooooooooooo something........... Erk

By my computer desk I have a little ledge below the window. I love art dolls, odd things, treasures both handmade and store bought. Either way the things on my little ledge are what I look at all day long while I while away my time on the computer. Here are some of my treasures (sorry for the poorly posed pic- to do it better I would have had to clean off my desk. Hahahahhahahahhahahhahahaha). . You can see the new clown doll I got yesterday from [info]livingindarknes Also the pendant is hanging from the curtain for now. Also a great mini monster print and monster from [info]myerscho and of course some buggies and gourdy things from [info]bagorazors. Add to that a plastic godzilla, stitch holding a flag, a mood doll that has 4 different faces as you turn in and a sock monkey religious candle and you are ready to go! Maybe I'll take a better pic after I clean off my desk. Hahahahhahahahahah. I crack myself up!

Finally some new monkeys on etsy! Click the monkeys to go to my store :O) Also check out StockingStuffers.etsy.com ~ we are thrilled to pieces to be part of this cool project!

You ever get to the point where you just don't know which way is up anymore. Or up is down and everything is topsy turvy? Eh. Guess it's a rhetorical question. I've spread myself too thin and have too many obligations and am crashing and burning. Or maybe that's what happened the last few weeks and I'm on my way back up. Either way I'm doing better but it's all relative because I was doing really bad (REALLY bad). The pseudo ex is sick too and they are talking extreme measures that may be needed. Second opinions are needed. The mom seems to be sailing along with terminal cancer but then gets these horrible side effects from the treatment and all that. The dad is as unpleasant, difficult and unreasonable as ever. Throw in a little dementia to that mix too. The son is 7. Need I say more? And then work. Oh Lord give me strength. The work. Dealing with trauma and death in one and working with out of control kids and their families in the other. Oh yeah and fixing up the house, keeping it running, making mokeys and a little side gig, 2 dogs, a cat, 3 bunnies, 4 fish tanks and a bearded dragon. So I started having girl part issues and figure with the luck I've had lately one good sneeze and my uterus was coming out. They are still running tests. But at one point the Dr asks...... Do you have any stress?? Bahahahahhaahahahhahaahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahah

Sorry I haven't been commenting or writing. This week has been so hard. My son went with his dad for the week and I had a list a mile long of things to do. But you know me and the universe. Picked mom up from chemo on Friday and she looked odd. Face swollen, arms swollen, broken capillaries on her chest with bruising. The nurse said this was normal ~ and seeing as I'm not an oncology nurse I figured she knew. By Monday mom couldn't breathe and was a weird blue/purple/red color. Got her to the ER. It seems that the porta cath they put in to deliver the chemo had started causing numeroud blood clots which settled in her lungs and vena cava (the central vein to the heart) She's been in ICU since on blood thinners and today they are doing a number of "surgical" procedures. Add to that that my dad is home from the nursing home and total care (and the crankiest man ever). And today someone writes me that I stole on of their ideas on Etsy. I want to eat a pound a cookie dough, throw up and then sleep for about a week. If you need me I'll be at the hospital though............sigh...........

Some were a little weird- I'm going to have to look over my interest list and see why I got some of the pics I did! But way cool! My Interests Collage! )

Oh my! I was out yesterday for a playdate and didn't get online. It seems everyone was posting like crazy and I have a lot of reading to do this morning.

I get these daily inspirational things in my inbox each day (which I guess is what makes them daily... More coffee please!) I love them! They are quotes from people (famous-ey) from all walks of life and I do truly find them inspirational. I liked todays... so I'm posting it!

Quote of the Day
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

– Theodore Seuss Giesel

and then they even give a little blurb about the person ~

About Theodore Seuss Giesel
Theodore Seuss Geisel, the beloved Dr. Seuss, is renowned to generations of children as the author of Green Eggs and Ham and other deliciously absurd picture books. He was born in 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His first book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, was rejected 27 times. He wrote The Cat in the Hat after Houghton Mifflin asked him to write a children's primer using fewer than 250 easy-reader words. He died in 1991.

Anywho... gonna read... not sure how many comments if any I'll get done before my little ray of sunshine wakes up!

So e. and I (she from dollygagging fame- you know her as [info]bagorazors) decided some time last year to do a collaborative piece of Frida Kahlo with monkey. So I need some opinions. This is Frida with a traditional Rockford Red Heel monkey. Do you think it works? Or should I do a browner, darkish colored monkey? Will list it soonish on Ebay but not sure the dollygagging fans will be drawn to my auctions as much as hers. Oh and check out the bonus ACEO card.

ahhh the monkye mojo seems to have come back and I am furiously sewing. That and the fact that I have monkeys promised all over the place! I'm excited about some of the plans but don't want to end up disappointing anyone. One site www.mahardrygoods.com has ordered a bunch for November. The craft boutique we do every year in Bay Head needs their orders by October. Plus the whole Christmas right around the corner thing. Some special monkey requests. Plus since I stopped working I'm sort of relying on these things to put food on the table ~ how scary is THAT????

Hope you are all well !!!

Survived my birthday. Might need to start gearing up for the one in 359 days!! Yikes!

* * *
Ok I'm done whining about the birthday and life suckiness. I guess I'm just looking for something. Seems things are easier to find when you know what you are looking for. I miss being part of a couple (not that my previous couplings have been that fantastic- so I don't miss the past ones- just the romanticized version). I would love to have someone to lean on for just a minute. Ah well. Escape would be good too. Or just laying in a dark room for a couple days without any have tos or shoulds clouding my mind.

And yes I have a lot to be thankful for too. I saw this saying once and I just "said" it to a friend online. Maybe I need to practice what I preach........(yeah yeah)

Don't force it
Or fight it
Just live it

I need to be more in the now then waiting for my life to start happening. I need to make it happen (yeah yeah I know)

My birthday is this week. 39. Lots of reflection and none of it positive. Ever feel like you've wasted your life? Like what do I have to show for all these years and can I do it better?

I don't feel like I'm succeeding at any of my roles. I don't feel like I'm a good enough mom ~ I'm always cranky and overtired and needing alone time. I don't feel like I'm a good enough daughter ~ mom is terminal with colon cancer, dad is in a rehab after his surgery in June and continues to decline. And I go to mom's everyday and do the chores and do grocery shopping but I don't have the time to just enjoy her while she is still here. And I only get to the rehab maybe once a week to see dad. I don't feel like I'm a good enough counselor~ in fact quit my job ~ don't seem to be helping people ~ no one is getting that much better. I don't feel like I'm a good enough friend. I don't feel like I'm good enough at being a home owner ~ can't seem to keep up with it all. I don't feel like I'm a good enough member of the human race ~ don't do enough of giving to my fellow man....... ok I won't go on.... you get the idea.....

When am I going to feel like a grown up? that I've accomplished something positive? that I belong to something bigger than myself?

Ugh.

Don't you love birthdays?

This weeks monkeys (oh and the cherry one from last week is still homeless ~ won't you take pity on her?)

I continue to whore out critters over here. Did I tell you all about the bunnies. I did a good deed and took in a bunny from a client. And as they say "No good deed goes unpunished". Did you know the gestation period for baby bunnies is 30 days. Guess what happened day 30 after I got the bunny home??? Immaculate conception? No just my luck. So I have 6 baby bunnies looking for new homes. They will be ready August 7th (not that I'm counting the days of the 8 week weaning period at all).
